If you are traveling with your computer and using an Internet Hot Spot or connecting to a service provider other than Lakefield and want to "send" Email using your @lakefield.net account, you will need to enable SSL in your Email client. All Email programs have this ability. Below are screen shots of what it would look like for Outlook Express:
